My practice is client-centred – I believe you are the expert of your own experience.

Therapy throws light into dark places and ultimately allows us to communicate better, and to manage our emotions and reactions. This doesn’t mean that you won’t ever feel sad or angry, but with supportive therapy these emotions become easier to handle.

With my open, non-judgemental support, you can vigorously examine yourself and your relationships. I empathize deeply with clients, ask questions, observe patterns, and occasionally explore alternatives.

I work with couples and individuals who want to explore how to connect better with others, and to deal healthily with the issues that can rule their life.

I am completing my training as a psychotherapist at the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy. Relational psychotherapy sees people in their context and acknowledges that different parts of the self are activated in different situations and relationships.

My professional experience is in healthcare education, and sexual and reproductive health. I have worked with marginalized communities to amplify and empower their voices. I believe strongly in the principles of harm reduction, disability rights, anti-poverty, and queer and trans positivity.

I am a member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT) and am regulated by their standards of practice.
